Donna's wealth of expertise stems from 30 years as a practising psychologist in the ACT. She has worked at the Family Court as a Counsellor, and as an Equity Officer, Counsellor and Senior Manager of Student Services at Canberra Institute of Technology. Donna has broad governance experience having been on the boards of several community organisations.
Sally is the Director – Engagement and Stakeholder Relations for the Customer Owned Banking Association, the Industry Association, the Industry Association for Australia’s Credit Unions, building societies and mutual banks. She has significant experience in advocacy, lobbying and public policy, stakeholder engagement, risk management and financial management in highly regulated sectors. Sally has worked in banking and finance domestically and off-shore for NSW Treasury and as an advisor for the Indonesian, Philippines and Mongolian Governments. Sally has a Masters of Commerce (USyd) and Bachelor of Arts (UNSW) and serves as a Director on the board of two not-for-profits in Canberra.
Lisa brings over 20 years experience of accounting into the the Treasurers position and is a Partner of Maxim Chartered Accountants. Previously, Lisa was employed as a senior manager with Ernst and Young Canberra in the Entrepreneurial Services Division. Lisa is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Tax Agent and Senior Associate of Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Lisa has been recognised by her profession by acting as the Chairperson of the ACT Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Prior to her recent retirement Suzanne had a 30 year career in the public sector and in peak employer organisations. Suzanne has expertise in contract tenders, management and service delivery; government program design and delivery and workplace health and safety, having worked extensively on the harmonisation of workplace health and safety laws.
Maeve is a Registered Psychologist with 25 years’ experience in counselling. She brings to the Board experience in managing services which provide counselling to a broad section of the community, including in her current role as Head of Counselling at Canberra Institute of Technology. She has a strong commitment to the public provision of mental health and counselling services in the ACT, with a particular focus on services for members of the community who have experienced disadvantage. Maeve is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Australia and New Zealand Student Services Association.
Lessli has been a practicing Solicitor since 1984. She specialises in family law, domestic violence and child welfare. She has been a researcher, instructor, lecturer, mentor and examiner in family law. Lessli established and manages a sole practice legal firm, specialising in family law, domestic violence and child welfare matters. She represents children in the Family Court, the Federal Circuit Court and in the ACT Children’s Court. Lessli has been the Vice President and founding member of the Canberra and Region Family Law Professionals Association. She was a member of the advisory panel for the introduction of Working with vulnerable people legislation in ACT and also a member of the advisory panel for introduction of Sexual and Violent Offences Legislation Amendment legislation in ACT.
Amy is a senior legal plicy officer in the area of legal assistance at the Justice and Community Safety Directorate. Previously Amy was a senior lawyer at Meyer Vandenberg Lawyers, as well as the legal counsel, accounts manager and secretary of the board of a family operated business. Amy has a Bachelor of Law (Honours) from the Australian National University, a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) and a Certificate of Mediation.
The Canberra Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC) is a non-government, feminist organisation working collaboratively within service provision systems in the ACT and surrounding areas to provide services and programs to eliminate sexual violence against women, young people, children , and men.
We provide a crisis counselling line, Indigenous community support, counselling to victims and their families, and community education programs.
